The Story
Elys Collection takes its name from the word Elysium — a place described in ancient Greek mythology as a realm of peace, beauty, and harmony. The idea felt instantly right, as it reflects exactly the feeling we wanted to create: something beyond the ordinary, more meaningful, more serene, and more beautiful. A place that feels both luxurious and warm. A place where, the moment you arrive, you know you are exactly where you are meant to be.
Elys Collection was born from a shared dream between two friends, Lenni and Iiro, who wanted to bring something to the travel market that they had always longed for themselves. Despite their young age, both had already traveled extensively, experienced different cultures, and stayed in some of the most unique accommodations around the world. From every journey, they carried with them something special — atmospheres, details, and moments that stayed with them long after the trip had ended.
Over time, a clear realization emerged: the most unforgettable travel experiences are not created by beautiful surroundings alone, but by the feeling a place leaves behind. A feeling that makes your body genuinely happy. That is what we strive for in every destination we create. Hotel-level luxury can be soft, warm, and inviting, while a beautifully designed environment can feel just like home. At its best, accommodation is not simply part of the journey, it becomes one of its most meaningful memories.
This dream was brought to the place closest to our hearts, Finnish Lapland. A destination where nature, silence, and the changing seasons create an experience unlike anywhere else. The unique beauty of Lapland offered the perfect setting to build something that combines inspiration gathered from travels around the world with cozy warmth and carefully curated luxury.
